Case Papers

Dear Friends, I have got a set of court papers through email (scanned copies) about Amritsar, Ajnala, Sathiala colleges. I will soon publish them on blog also. The rest of papers are still in pipe line. Actual papers have to be collected from advocate yet. Other papers are also expected soon. You can individualy also follow-up with the advocate to quicken the process. Scanned is not clear.

After we recieve all papers, we will arrange a meeting and lets all meet and discuss an doubts we have. We are all not experts on legal matters. Meeting will bring some clearity to where we stand and what need to be done.

Friendly Advice...

Dear Friends, It has come to our notice that certain members of the group feel they are being neglected about news updation and delivery of court papers. I will remind those friends that we are not running a union. This is a group of like minded people with common interest. It is the duty of every member to take pains for thier own good and visit blog and keep in touch through email if needed. We are just maintaining the blog and email as a service to all our friends in spirit of brotherhood.

Money is not an issue for us. We paid "per-petitoner" basis. So we are not tempted with numbers. My "dis-contented" friends are advised to go through the entire contents of the blog to set their facts right.

Letter Of Intent

Dear Friends, Amritsar College has taken letters from all guest faculty members stating weather they are willing to join Amritsar College in the next session also or not.

This has been done to acertain the number of vacancies for the next session. Advertisement will be published for all candidates who are not willing to join from the next session.

As per the conversation with advocate, this move is benificial for us. Still better if the college gives us a reciept of such a letter.

NOTE: As per lawyers advice , make sure there is no chance of adding any text between your words if you have give any such notation to your college also. Some miscreants might use the letter and put "do not" in place of "do".

Dear All 28 petitioners

Dear Friends,

I am posting a mail sent to all main petitioners on 2-Mar-2011.

Dear Main Petitioners,

As already brought to your noitce, a payment of Rs.3000 (1500 X 2) has not been recived from two members as of now.
They were how ever made to pay 700 X 2 = 1400 Rs. (Expenditure Fund)

The fee, on their behalf, was paid to advocate on repeated
assurances that it will be deposited on the morning of the day stay was
granted.But the promise has evidently not been kept.

In spite of repeated attempts on our part and pressure from other common contacts, no action has been taken by these members.

According to the last communication, Mr.Jasjit was to re-check deposit,
which according to him might have been deposited in a wrong account.
After nearly a month, no reply has been given.

In spirit of transparency and budget reconciliation I am putting before you the names and phone numbers of the said members.

NOTE :
The last mail I sent to everyone about rules of fund management have
not been confirmed till now. Reply from your email ID and send yes or no
about it. and any changes you wish to carry out.I need every member to
reply, individualy. Dear MainPetitioners please make sure of the same.

Govt. asks for list

As per a letter received in Amritsar college, Govt. has asked for a list of all guest faculty working along with work experience details. Hopefully it is a step in the right direction.

According to the Advocate, it is probably a move to replace "non-stayholder" staff.

Please take care that the stay holders should not be listed as non-petitioners in the list to be sent to the govt. . This is possible as we have not yet given our respective colleges the papers of our stay. So, in technical terms, they don't know that we are petitioners and stayers.

As per the papers, expect them to be signed in four to five days. Let us meet to distribute papers to among ourselves and discuss a few more issues and doubts all of us may have.

Movement all around but dont let anyone take advantage

Dear friends,

All around there is movement. A lot of it. Lets see the where this movement takes us. For now, as all of us know, we have sent the Guest Faculty lists required. Mr.Varinder from Tanda was supposed to take the list with some other members to the DPI office. We have been given this understanding that all this is a part of political effort to get continuity for this year, more salary and twelve month (full year employment)basis.

I wish them luck for their effort as anyone's gain is everyone's gain.

But I have a few doubts in my mind.

1. We are never hired, hence we cannot be relived on paper anyway.
2. Even if all faculty is called back and made to join again how will they be paid. After all we are called on "Hourly Basis" on "Availability Of Work". Hence no teaching, no pay
3. I think instead of asking for parity with other staff, we should look to get 
• more salary on basis of the work that exists all the year through in Computer labs and classes as we are not given any other support staff till we don't become full year contractual.
• conversion of our post into contractual and only surplus posts should be advertised in newspapers.

The efforts are all welcome, but the direction should be right also.

NOTE : In the press report(Ajit Newspaper) on meeting on Monday (27-Feb-20011) with Mr.Sewa Singh Sekhwan, it was reported that all staff present there was from PTA fund. Nearly 50% of those present were from PTA(SF). I fear that someone will take advantage of our number with them and we might never be brought to the notice of authorities.It does not feel good to be used like this by others. Read the memorandum and press notes in future before they are issued. Also verbal demands should mention PTA(SF) . Otherwise its no use to us.
